FINA Diving Technical Chairman 2000-2005

An accomplished diver, Kathy was a member of the Canadian Women's Diving Team from 1966 to 1972 and competed internationally for Canada at the 1967 Pan American Games, 1970 Commonwealth Games, 1970 University World Student (FISU) Games and the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. 

Upon completion of her competitive career, she remained active as a coach for six years and was instrumental in the establishment and development of the Canadian Diving Officials program.  She has remained actively involved as a member of the Canadian Diving Officials Executive Committee, holding various positions (including chairperson) from 1978 to the present time. 

Kathy's international judging experience spans more than 20 years and includes judging assignments at four Olympic Games, four World Championships, two University World Student (FISU) Games, two Commonwealth Games, two Pan American Games, three Junior World Championships, eight World Diving Cups and three Super Grand Prix Diving events.  At the Pan American Games in 1995 Kathy was appointed to her first term on the FINA Technical Diving Committee and given the responsibility for chairing the Judges Evaluation Sub-committee.  At the Sydney Olympic Games, Kathy was appointed as the FINA Technical Diving Committee Chairperson.
