An introduction to the purpose and mission of the symposium: To revive the art of comedy diving in water shows as a means to promote general public interest and appreciation for the sport of diving.

9:15 A. M. - WATER SHOWS MAKE A SPLASH

A Brief look at the history of water shows and comedy diving during the Golden Age of Swimming (1920 – 1960), theorizing that the water show and Comedy Diving was brought attention to the great aquatic athletes.

9:30 A. M.  - WATER SHOWS I HAVE KNOWN
Tom Gompf, 1960 Olympic Bronze medalist, Tower, immediate past FINA TWPC Chairman, comedy diving performer.
During his career, Tom Gompf has performed in hundreds of water shows and television specials and describes the essential ingredients of a successful performance.

10:00 A. M. - COACHING COMEDY DIVING
 Hobie Billingsly, Olympic Diving Coach (USA 1968 & 1972, Austria & Denmark 1980), comedy diving performer.
An Olympic and comedy diving Expert, Hobie discusses the differences and safety issues involved in coaching comedy diving.

10:30 A.M. - THE BUSINESS OF COMEDY DIVING AND WATER SHOWS
Dana Kunze, President, Water Show Productions, Inc.
Toivo Ohman, Chairman, LEN Technical Diving Committee
The business and status of professional diving and comedy diving and future opportunities.

11:00 A.M. - The future of Comedy Diving and Water Shows
Pannel Discussion ( International panel tbd) and Open Form
FOR DISCUSSION: The formation of a Company (ie World Comedy Diving Association), development of a marketing platform and designate a marketing agent or promoter, development of an International bid process for a world championship.
