Albert Zurner had a long and brilliant Olympic diving career that began at age 18 and included fourth place off the 1906 tower, first and gold off the 1908 springboard and silver off platform and fourth off springboard in 1912.  Who knows what might have followed in 1916 had World War I not cancelled out the Olympics.  In addition to his Olympic medals, Albert won four Hamburg Cups and one Emperor’s Cup before his 1908 Olympic triumph off the platform in London.
